Intro
GOSS Interactive is a firm that supplies and develops a Content Management System - GOSS iCM, used to maintain websites and intranets. GOSS iCM can be found running hundreds of websites including faseted search for Brittany Ferries, GMTV, The Archbishop of Canterbury and over 60 Pubilc Sector organisations.
History
GOSS Interactive was founded to support a sailing project of Pete Goss, by Rob McCarthy and Richard George in 1999 who still own and manage the firm.
Today GOSS is still owned by the two of its directors, without any venture capital funding and has grown to over 40 employees.
GOSS offers to perform implementations directly with its customers without involving third party integrators.
Products
GOSS iCM (intelligent Content Management) GOSS iCM has a modular approach, unlike other Content Management Systems, most of GOSS’s modules are included out-of-the-box.
Now on version 8, GOSS iCM has user friendly WYSIWYG controls that empower an unlimited number of non-technical individuals, groups and departments to effortlessly manage and deliver content to Web 2.0 websites, portals, intranets and extranets in a secure and flexible environment.
As a browser based system compatible with all leading browser programmes, GOSS iCM easily fits in with IT infrastructures without the need to install applications on individual workstations. Developers have three API options for delivery templates:
ColdFusion .NET Java The system is compatible with all main databases.
Upgrades are free to clients with support contracts. GOSS supports best practice when building websites[6], and aims to deliver websites to the highest accessibility standards.
GOSS iCM integrates with SharePoint to allow more non-technical users to publish to a website from within SharePoint
iCM freedom
iCM Freedom is an easy to use, fully hosted, Software as a Service solution (SaaS) based on the GOSS iCM software.
